While watching NFL in HD on CBS (Insight digital cable) the sound goes back and forth between soft and loud in the middle of the game. I noticed the thread on 5.1 vs. 2.0, but i'm not watch using my surrond sound.

Any ideas? Suggestions, could anyone confirm that this is an Insight / CBS / hardware issue?

I noticed it in Arizona with Cox cable during today's football game. Maybe it was a source problem? Where is the 5.1 vs 2.0 thread? Looking for it now.

This is an issue with CBS. When CBS goes to a studio update the sound will change from 5.1 to 2.0, the volume will also change at this time. It will happen a few moments before the studio update and then change back after the studio update. If something happens in the game that your watching they may not do an update.
