We've all experienced it at one point or another... Yeah, even you Prestige ranked guys out there. You log on, and promptly get your ass handed to you by someone who you've never played before.

Well, I'll start it off...tonight, playing COD4 for the 1st time online, I managed to get to Staff Sergeant Level 14 and everything was going pretty smoothly, I ranked in the top 3 about 90% of my matches (exclusively Free-For-All deathmatch).

But towards the end of my play, there was this one dude who kept killing me with every weapon, even the knife at one point. I would guess he easily killed me 22 times, and I killed him maybe 4 (2 from his backside, one from the front, and once as a Last Stand). So I'll give him props right now...hopefully, he isn't on this board (don't need him gloating).:mad:

Okay, I was first, now you guys post the name of the guy who recently spanked you online. Who knows, they might even be an AVS member.

It seems like I run into a guy like that every time I play... one player who ends up with 8-10 more kills than everyone else.

No one has beat me so good that I remembered their name :shrug:

But I don't play FFA... If I did, I would probably remember some people.

So far, I've never met anyone on COD that is significantly better than everyone else. I've got 30+ kills less than 8 deaths so many times I couldnt really say. I've never seen anyone get 80+ kills in a game with under 20 deaths yet.

edit: so as to not sound like a complete butthead, I do remember getting OWNED by a clan of around 6 ppl in domination. I dont remember teh clan my end k/d was like 9/31 and I was top on my team.

If you want to see someone go 80-20, play HQ on the shipyard map. That map is INTENSE!!! I can't seem to do much better than 50-60 : 30 deaths. And if I didn't have frag x3, then God help me :confused::p:eek::D

I was in that game with you.....I wanted to stay to learn a few things. :D I think I got like 9 kills and 20+ deaths in that game. I think the score was like 20-250 but that didn't tell the real story of how bad it was. I've played a few games with those guys in the room.
The clan name for those guys is[I,AM].

The other clan that I have played against, not with TWW, is a clan named [MaDe]. They usually play Hardcore games. They are very good as well.

I broke 100 on that map on HQ... a bunch of air strikes a bunch of choppers and a bunch of nades... it was madness!! :eek:

He didn't kick my ass, cause he was on my team, but I saw a guy last night (don't remember his name), score 1125 on a game of Hardcore Search and Destroy!! This was Monday night, so I assume after the 2x XP weekend. Next highest score was 500.

I was there too. GODS_GIFT_2_ALL was the guy who is ranked number 3. He and his team handed us are rear ends. Not saying we are the best, but we can hold our own, except against them. It was embarrassing! :D

If you look at his score (in leaderboard hit triangle then square, I think, you can see him at the top) he has over 10 days worth of game time in.It's pretty funny how much game time some people have in already! If you think about it, the game has been out for, what, a month and a half? Not even? Probably like 40 days. To have over 10 days worth of game time in that means that 25% of his time for the last 40 days was playing COD4. That is including sleep and everything. That averages to around 6 hours per day. I'm guessing these guys don't have significant others and/or social lives in general ;)

The best player has to be KingOfAllGames. He doesn't have the most wins or highest score, but his K/D ratio is like 3.7:1 or something - over 36000 kills. That is just insane. I mean, INSANE. To AVERAGE that high for that long, WOW. He is prestige level 10 and definitely top 100 for everything, I think one of the categories he was top 3 or something a bit too. Look him up. He is without a doubt one of the most talented players at the game, regardless of the other people's scores.

I got my first chance to play with a lvl 10 prestige, level 55 player yesterday. I believe his name was MattTheMan or something to that effect and his clan was F$, I think. Anyway, I was excited to see how good a level 550 player was. To be honest, I didn't expect much. We were playing HQ against an average team (luckily he was on my team, although I would have loved a shot at him). He ended with 60 kills and 6 deaths, and he had a couple HQ captures and saves. He was definitely really good. While spectating him, I didn't see what made him so good, but man was he good at staying alive somehow! Most of the times I die it is while running and someone shoots me from across the map. I would be following him and for whatever reason he never got killed doing the same things I do lol.

The next closest guy on the server had like 20 kills, and I was 11-5, so his 60 was just amazing, especially with only 6 deaths, one of which was as soon as we spawned we were ambushed and they got him (not the shipment map btw). He had more than double the points of the next highest score on the map.

I was definitely amazed to see it. I looked him up later and he was ranked 41 on the list I looked at (kills I think) and his game time was more than alot of the other people higher ranked even, at 13 days. That is a sick amount of time, but it has paid off for him anyway. Granted that was only one map, but I don't think it was a coincidence ;)

I routinely end up with matches where I go 25-10. Last night I was on a particularly good roll where I had like 4 matches in a row where I had about 35 kills and 5-8 deaths. It was sweet. :D This is all in team deathmatch of course.

Oh, I think it quite possibly is the best multiplayer game ever made. The only think it's missing for me is drivable vehicles.

My brother (blakprez) is the best I've personally seen. Its not completely uncommon for him to go 50+/<10 for multiple maps in a row.

Yeah, I'll stand by a best multiplayer ever nomination for the FPS category. To me, it is right up there with counter-strike (before they sold out), which was my old #1 multiplayer (in the genre). Outside the genre, and just best overall ever, world of warcraft, hands down.

I definitely go 2.5 to 3 KDR regularly, and the worst I'll do on any given night is 1.2 KDR or something, but this guy seemed like he had a KDR of 6 on the regular. And not like 18 and 3. 60-6 is so much different / better than 18-3. When you hold down a 5-6+ KDR with 40+ kills on HQ on the regular, that is really something :p You not only have great aim, but it's clear that you have in depth knowledge of the game and maps, such as where people start, the best path to everywhere from any given point so that you have the least dangerous conflicts, etc, etc.

On a complete side note, I lost my frags x3 when I went prestige, but I'm liking stun x3 ALOT right now. I don't think I'll even use frag x3 again. Stuns are so much better. Toss them just like you would a frag, only run in RIGHT after. Most people would run from your frags, and if you cook them and don't hit the person dead on with it, they live with a chance to kill you first, but with a stun, you can throw it and run in shooting them while you watch their character in slow-mo with their hands on their eyes, lol. They can't really get away from that as they would a frag. Stuns are my nade of choice for the shipment map. I get so many kills that way... tossing them into the middle and stuff. I raised my average KDR for that level by 1 to 1.5 by using them now. So, in summary, give stun grenades a chance! They are way way better than I originally thought, and better than flash IMO. It is awesome that you can get assists using them, and they also give you an indication as to whether or not you stunned someone with it! I personally like them better than smoke, but I'm somewhat of a lone wolf alot of the time, because most people are too stupid to play like a team. For a team oriented game, with real team players, I would probably opt for the smoke, which are priceless for capturing HQs and domination zones.

The streak is only 1 game far as I know. I wouldnt be suprised if they found a glitch or weakness to get that high. I remember when I was playing RFOM pretty hardcore someone had a 81 kill streak, which is completely rediculous on RFOM.

On shipment I could see it. Especially if he had help from his friends. He's actually done it twice according to his posting on the COD forums. Don't have the link, but that's what I read.

Yeah it would be one in a million shot but on shipment you could do it. On that map it's not always about how good you are though.. a random grenade or an airstrike can take you out. But I guess it's possible..
