I tried to watch some DVD's and a Blue Ray disc on my PS3. I don't know if it's an internal PS3 problem, or if it is just the HDMI cable that is not well done.
When I put the disc inside, after a minute the film has began, the PS3 starts to check the HD definition again, then the screen loses th eimage of the film and starts showing everything in pink color as a negative image of the film. Then the screen also loses any kind of image and shows a green screen. But when I repeat the vision of the same film, this kind of video disturbances disappears, and the disc is showing the film without problems of any sort.
The second problem is with the PS3 remote, it is very strange, but all the DVD's have full access to the commands on the remote, and it is very easy to use the DVD's on PS3, but when I watched a Blue Ray disc, which is the native SONY technology, a lot of functions were not avaiable. This is strange, why SONY would make a fully compatible remote with DVD's and not with their own Blue Ray discs?
P.S. After I checked the "Fantastic Four" Blue Ray disc, I might say that I was disappointed with the lack of the main menu. Instead of the useful main menu as all DVD's have, the blue Ray starts direcly with the movie. I must say it is very badly done. The menus on BR are so small it i svery hard to use tehm. I think I won't buy any more BR discs if they would continue to make them this way.
