Does anyone else get really annoyed with teamkilling in warhawk? I mean, I'm as guilty as anyone with some teamkilling, but it is normally with a rogue grenade when a few of us are fighting a enemy or two, and I've been getting better about it.

But I was trying to play again last night after getting COD4'd out, and I was just so frustrated with people running me over with tanks and whatnot. I got teamkilled so many times!! I wish you couldn't get killed by your own team from vehicles at least. Everytime I finally got all the weapons I wanted, or I was "fully loaded" and in the enemy zone/base, I would get TK'd by someone in a tank or something. They just have no regard for where they drive. It is hard to enjoy the game when you keep dying to your own teamates repeatedly :mad: Normally it isn't so bad, I just get extra frustrated when I have spent the time going to collect all of the different weapons (binoculars, rocket launcher, sniper rifle, mines, etc) and then the second I finally get them all, SPLAT!

Does anyone else get fed up with it?

yea, it's annoying, but sometimes it's necessary.

ctf the other night, guy has the flag and me and another guy save ours twice, but the guy won't get the capture. i fly back and see him just running around in the base and even avoiding the capture. he doesn't respond to us so the other guy says, "gonna have to teamkil... you or me?" i was right there so i knifed him and got the capture and after that he wised up. i think he didn't actually realize he had the flag, but the TK was the right move.

to your original post, i do agree that it's out of hand if you get into a big scrum around an enemy with knives flying around and you accidentally TK someone who immediately hunts you down to get even. that's what annoys me. no matter how many times you say "sorrysorrysorry!!!" they almost always have to get it back. :mad:

You get used to it. The thing to do is..
A: stay out of the roads on foot! (dont play in traffic) I dont know how many times I've seen some guy running down the MIDDLE of the road... you are asking to get hit...teammate or not.
B: get in a vehicle yourself
C: Kill other people and collect their weapons

My wife spends so much time running around picking up weapons. I just hop in a jeep or tank drive until I see an enemy kill them, get out and take their stash. I love the guys who run around picking up weapons..just means I don't have too. LOL

It does seem to be a rampant issue. My buddy and I were playing the other night and some guy felt it necessary to flex his muscle because apparently I was jumping in to "his" Warhawk. So he started tossing grenades at me and blew the thing up. Well, since it wasn't a ranked game, and because I can be the vindictive type, my buddy and I went after him like mad for the rest of the match. He had a split-screen buddy on, too, and it go out of hand because even when you let them know that after 15 minutes it really can stop, someone's always got to get the last "word" in. And with no mics to be found with them, they felt the best way to speak was with their teamkilling weapons - over and over and over again. It was pretty funny, though.

Yeah I did notice a couple of people going back and forth TKing each other and yelling stop on the mic and so forth, but that is another thing altogether.

I just wish people driving the tanks had the same respect I do and don't blatantly run their teammates over when there isn't a battle going on. If I see some dummy in the road, I slow down and stop and/or try to go around, I don't just go full speed and run them over.

My big problem with warhawk (and partly/mostly because I'm not very good at it) is that it takes me a long time to get back to the battle after I die. And by long time I mean, it usually isn't instant unless you can spawn in the center of the action, and even then, I usually only have the crappy pistol and I need to hunt down something better. I tend to spend alot of time running to vehicles and what not, driving them to the action, getting out, dying, and repeating. Maybe having gotten a kill or two, or captured part of a zone, but usually having gotten nothing. It just seems that I spend more time getting from place to place than anything else. So when a teammate TKs me, it just means more running around again, and it was happening so much, I was getting very frustrated. When you suck at the game, it seems like all you can do is run around until you see someone, then you die, and get to run around again :p

I think once I get a little better on the ground, it won't bother me so much. I'm decent at dogfighting, but that's about it, lol.

Team killing doesnt usually bother me. I know the game can be hectic and ppl arent always paying attention. Its the ppl that do it on purpose mulitple times that gets me. I dont retaliate, just live with it and leave the server if it have to.

I try my best not to run ppl over, but it happens. My biggest problem is when im in a tank, i get trigger happy and tend to try using it like a sugical instrument when its just not supposed to be.

The whole "new" thing certainly applies, even to those who aren't new. One of the biggest flaws with the game design of Warhawk, in my opinion, is the Red vs. Blue thing. If I see something red, I want to shoot it. I get the sense that a lot of other people feel the same way because the majority of my deaths by teamkill come when I am on the red team. I don't understand why they went out of their way to highlight every player in the game. Why not just the enemies or your own teammates like COD4? I confuse easily...LOL.

Else you are a HUGE target and get bombarded right away!!

I haven't played as much as you, for sure, but I've noticed the tanks at least show up some of the time on my map... that is to say that I've definitely seen them show up, but I have not seen them not show up, yet. If that makes sense, haha :D
