I have found that with my cable box, non dvr, Scientific Atlanta 4240hdc that as soon as I plug in the HDMI cable, the cable box turns off dolby digital on the digital outs and turns off the audio out on the analog jacks. If I tell it to keep the dolby digital on the digital outs, then I lose audio signal to TV. No audio in for the HMDI ports on the TV.

I was told the DVR HD units, would be the 8x50hdc units, with HDMI do not disable dolby digital on the digital outs when using HDMI and the audio stays on the HDMI as well. Does anyone have the DVR HD units with HDMI to verify that?
