Hello,
I hope that this is in the correct forum/area, please feel free to move and/or yell at me
I am currently trying to finalize my HDTV purchase that has been in the making since the first week of the NFL season. I have narrowed it down to
Samsung HLT5087SAX 50" Slim LED DLP
Samslung LNT4661F LCD
Amazon has both of these for just about the same price and all of the reviews that I have read for each are excellent and make this a very difficult decision. I realize that the DLP has 4" more of screen space and that the LCD is thinner, but neither of those factors have too much of an impact on my decision...I'd be happy either way. Unfortunately it is not possible to compare the two side-by-side, so I'm looking for any input to aid in my decision (which will be made soon, the LCD just dropped $ significantly and the DLP has been steady $ and going in an out of stock)
I will most likely not be purchasing a new TV for many, many years after this, so I'd like it to last in terms of quality, durability, etc.
Has anyone compared these two, or at least similar models (Slim LED DLP vs. LCD)?
Does anyone have any input that might help me out? Thanks for your assistance.
