I know it's a long shot but does anyone know the internal repair process that they use at the 360 repair facility?

I'm curious as to how they verify repairs and fix the boxes, do they run Diagnostic DVD or just power it on and see what happens?

I sent mine back for the RROD and it's on it's way back but all the CS Rep could tell me is that i'm getting my original box back repaired. They repaired it in less then 72 hours of receving the console.

Anyways thanks in advance!

Now that would be some great info to know however MS has never given out any info about how the repair center goes about repairing bad boxes.

Mine also was repaired very quickly.

I got the RROD on November 22. I called that night.

I got the coffin on November 28th. Right on time.

I sent it off on the 29th.

They received it on the 4th.

They sent out my repaired console on the 6th.

I got it back on the 10th, one day early (3 day shipping got it here in 2 days).

I got my old console back. I had marked it with a crayon, inconspicuously. Same serial number. That is very fast service, in my book.

I've always heard they simply power it up and test the system manually.

I don't remember my dates, but I remember it got to the MS facility on a Friday and they shipped my same box back on the same Sunday.

Of course, I think they were rushing mine some because they screwed up my original coffin shipment. Never got the first one and the 2nd was air shipping.
