After the new fall update I see that we Canadians are now able to download movies via Xbox live. I thought I would try and preview a movie first to check out the quality. I get the buffering screen for a few seconds followed by the 'unplayable content blade' stating that it cant find my storage device....20gb firmly attached. Am I missing something here?

more than likely a problem with all the extra people trying to do previews... ive been getting it on a few videos lately.

I had this problem too, I deleted some demos that were "incomplete" (had a yellow triangle) and that seemed to fix it, not sure why though.

I didn't have any issues with previews, but I would say give it a little time, right now I'm sure the service is getting hit like mad with all the people trying it out. Once the dust settles it should be less problematic. Pricing for the content is too high though in my opinion.

Yes, pricing is out of whack...$10 for a high def movie.

How long is the 'rental' period? Does it vary from movie to movie?

wow, what is it in the states, because it seems the US forgets that our dollar is on par with theirs now, and has actually been better at times.

the us pricing is way cheaper. 200-300 pts for a movie. guys just go make yourselves a US silver account and you can get all their stuff. I've been enjoying movie downloads and exclusive US content for a long time now - since the video marketplace was launched in the US at least.

First they charge us more for points, now they charge us more for marketplace content. I was looking forward to this service, but I won't even bother going to the marketplace blade until points or content markups are made inline with our strong dollar.
