I just ordered comcast, and got Motorola DCT6200/2005 box running 16.35 software. When I use DVI-to-HDMI connection to my Onkyo 605 receiver, I get a message stating that my box does not support HDMI repeaters and I need to use component cables. Any clues how I can make it work without running HDMI directly to the TV?

Use component cables and wait for a firmware to come out to fix the problem. Considering there are posts going back some time on this issue, I wouldn't hold your breath waiting.

By reading other forums I thought that firmware 16.35 already fixes this problem.

If you just ordered Comcast, tell them you need an active HDMI box, not one of the old DVI boxes.

JohnnyDrama,
Unfortunately, Comcast wants to charge me extra for using HDMI box, as the only HDMI boxes that they have are the DVR boxes, and they require the DVR service.
My local Comcast did not have the HDMI version at the office, and said the same thing about never having any. However, I placed a service call regarding an issue I had related to my service, and the tech had several new 6200 HDMI boxes on his truck. He gladly swapped out my STB. I guess the new boxes all go on the trucks, and the old boxes go to the office locations.
