Is there anyway to find out where Verizon plans to make FIOS internet and/or TV available next??

There have been a few maps online but I havent seen anything concrete. I too am looking into getthing this service in NJ and I've called about 3-4 numbers and they all say they are adding new lines daily but none had anything specific as far as place or time. I'm having a new home built so I'm hoping they can get to my area before its done. If anyone else knows anything else I too would like to know.

I wish they had some published map. After 2 Directv no -shows for my HD upgrade last week, I wish I had an alternative.

Yeah, but the majority of the programming on most of the "standard" stations is just upscaled SD. Some of them are ALL SD, and some are even stretched.

Also keep in mind that even in towns where FIOS offers service, they cherry-pick which neighborhoods within the town they're willing to offer service.

The same will be seen on those channels regardless of the service provider, Comcast, FIOS, DirecTV, Cox, Dish Network, U-Verse, TWC, Cablevision, etc.

Call and ask. Sometimes they know and will tell you.

My area in Northern VA has had FIOS for over a year now... got more HD and digital channels, with Internet service, and saved $70 per month from the only other local cable company I was previously with........ SO SAD to be moving to Maryland soon and not have it :(

LOL, that's not a big issue with many of us.

I called today to chekc my area. First you have to be able to get verizon phone. Then they can come close to telling you how far away the fiber is. If you can get verizon phone you may never have FiOS. They havent bought any new territories in 9 freaken years.

This is what the verizon girl told me today. Sucks too.

Verizon is the best IMHO, I was really happy with them. Maybe I shouldnt of moved. Dish sucks..
