Panny PDP is connected to a SA 8300HD-DVR cable box and PS3 via HDMI. My Panny only has 1 HDMI input and I use a monoprice 2X1 switcher to connect cable box and PS3. I bought myself a HD-DVD player for Christmas and I will be connecting my SA 8300HD-DVR cable box to the Panny via component cables and use the 2X1 HDMI switcher for the Blu-ray and HD-DVD players. Another advantage with component is that I will no longer have the HDCP handshake issue that is associated with HDMI. I have a set of Styren Phyton standard quality component cables that I bought for $7 but have been looking at the Beldin bundled component cable with Canare connectors that are "broadcast quality" and considered the best quality component cable from Blue Jeans Cable for $40. My question is whether I will see a difference in PQ between the two cables? Anyone have the Beldin cables, thoughts?

Here's a link to both:

Standard Python Cable (https://www.cablesforless.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=14136)

Beldin Broadcast Quality Cable from Blue Jean Cable (http://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/component/index.htm)

Thanks in advance.

Save your money...you won't be able to tell the difference.

Really.....I was expecting the opposite. I thought that a broadcast quality cable would produce a more colorful, sharp picture?

Ditto. Electrons aren't into hype, they stick with the laws of physics.

Uhhh...nope....you may think you see a difference, but there won't be.

I'm assuming it makes more of a difference on long runs of 25 ft or more?
