Just got back from wallyworld with an arcade. Microsofts website says that the arcade has the output. Can someone tell me where it is>? Am I blind or is this another Microsoft scam?

It's right next to the standard video connector, small USB-like plug... take another look, you'll find it. I have an arcade w/ a 120gb drive hooked up at home with HDMI only.

Exactly what is that supposed to mean?

The arcade is the exact same console as the premium or the elite (other than the elite being black). Same outputs are on each one. The issue is probably that the arcade doesn't come with component cables (can't confirm this on the MS website), but if you use the correct cables, or use an HDMI cable you can use any resolution you wish.

If you want HDMI, all you have to do is plug a standard HDMI cable in.

If you want to use optical sound, then you either need to modify your component cable or buy an adapter (that comes with the Elite).

or you can just open your eyes and buy a HDMI cable for a whopping $3.96 (or $6.43 if you need a 6ft. cable) at monoprice.com like everyone else with common sense does. and they even have it in white, if you want one to match your 360...

the only reason you would need to buy the microsoft connection is if you plan on sending an optical digital cable to your receiver, and i highly doubt you're doing that, because if you were you most likely would have opted for the Pro instead of the Arcade...
