I just got a new DCH3416 today and when I attempted to schedule my DVR recordings, I realized that there is no DVR function like the instructions say I should have. Anyone else have this box and noticed the problem that I have? I havn't called the cable company yet, but I can't think of any reason why I would have this problem.
I seem to be able to record shows if I select them from the guide and schedule the recording that way, but that could take a while. :)

I have this same problem. There is no menu for the DVR like my previous box. I've recorded a few shows, but I can't find them anywhere to watch them! Also, it won't let me pause/rewind live tv, even if it's a show I'm recording! What gives? Anyone know?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)
You did get the box from the cable company, right?
These boxes don't have functional DVR software until they are authorized by the cable company, at which point they download the cable co's DVR software.

Yes, I did. I called them to activate it when I first got it, they did, and they said it was ready to go. Never downloaded anything though. I guess I need to call them and try to have them activate it again. Thanks for the reply...I'll repost if it solves the problem.

Called the cable company and they sent the box a signal or two and ended up breaking it somehow. So, they're sending a tech out Tuesday to give me a new box...hopefully that'll fix it.

Every now and then mine will get flaky like this.....yesterday I had no pause, rewind, FF etc. Usually just unplugging it for a few seconds will "fix" it. After unplugging yesterday I got those functions back but couldn't get into my "favorite channels" list so I unplugged this morning before work. We'll see how it works when I get home later. Real high tech piece of equipment.:rolleyes:
