View Full Version : ExpressVu shut off my receiver because the phone line is not connected

I've had ExpressVu in the US for years but the other day they shut off the receiver's authorization because I don't have a phone line connected.

Does anyone know a way around this? If I connect my phone line from the US, will they track my USA area code and shut off the receiver forever?

Any insight is appreciated.

Since ExpressVu is expressly forbidden from offering service outside of Canada ... I'd say your past has finally caught up with you.

Could you get a Canadian phone number from some VoIP (voice over IP) provider? I know that Vonage offers a virtual phone number that you could set up as a Canadian number that people could call, but I don't think they offer a Canadian number you can call from.
