A friend of mine is getting a gamerchair for Christmas. Are they any good? Do they actually link to the 360, so that when the controller vibrates, the chair does as well? Are there any really sophisticated ones with digital sound, adjustable seat, etc.? If that's true, then I imagine gaming with one could be awesome! Even the one in The 40 Year Old Virgin looked cool! This could really add to the experience greatly. Any insider info?
Google Buttkicker Gamer. I'd much rather have my entire couch shake, plus it works great for movies too! Absolutely love it, and the best part is you can't see it at all...
I added 2 bass shakers and a 75W amp to my couch for around $130. I love it! :)

They work off of the LFE track that the game produces.

OMG! I googled it, and it's highly recommended! This could be the immersion factor I'm looking for! Thanks alot!
I can imagine playing GOW or COD4 with this! "Awesome, totally awesome!" -Spicoli
I highly recommend it over a chair - total stealth installation, and hooked up to the LFE output from a receiver it is simply amazing. Also good for night gaming since you can still feel the action without having to crank the sound.... PS, I know the Buttkicker Gamer is shown to attach to a chair, but I had no issues putting it under the couch, between the frame and some stuffing... It's even cool just for listening to music.

I just ordered it for $87.87 total from Game Speed Simulator! I agree about not having to crank the volume to get the effect-sounds good!
Today, Dex you've done a good thing. Thanks!

I was thinking about getting a boom chair as well, but I've had my eye on the buttkicker system for a while. I hear the amp makes some funny loud sounds. Is this true?
The amp has a fan, it sounds like it's got a fan. I put the amp in the bottom shelf of my entertainment rack and I don't hear it at all unless everything else is muted. It's definitely less loud than the 360 fan noise, no doubt.

im thinking of removing the bed form my couch (dont have the room to fodl it out anyway) and putting 1 or 2 subs in a board underneath.
i can experiment first by putting my regualr powered sub underneath
i had one of those gmaing chairs a while ago. speakers behind your head, ont eh sides, and a sub in the back. it sucked - it was cool at first, but after 5 minutes it felt like i was jstu having someone kicking the back of my chair
