I'm getting the box in 3-5 business days through the mail from Comcast, it's going to replace the crappy DCT 6200 that I have. Anyone have it? And if so, how is it? Does it work nice with HDMI switches?

On a side note, does Comcast offer the DCH100 yet? I'd like to get rid of my overheating DCT700's...

I have the cable box and yes it does work with the HDMI switching. I have it hooked up to my AVR 347. I'm just trying to find the remote code for the box so I can control it with my HK remote.

Alright cool. How did you get it, in the office or via mail? Did yours come with an HDMI cable? I ordered 3 from monoprice along with a 2x1 manual switch because I have an upconverting DVD recorder/VCR.

I went to the office and they only gave me component cables with the box. I went out and purchased a 1080i HDMI cable.

Alright, then good thing I ordered the HDMI cables. My box is coming to me in the mail, 3-5 business days. The HDMI cables and the switch are also coming in 3-5 days via UPS shipping from monoprice, so they should come at the same time hopefully.

My box came with HDMI cables from Comcast.

My Question: I have a Comcast HD box model DCH 3200 (HDMI hook up) with all the pay channels. My HD channels work great(upper channels), However they only work on the upper channels. When I go the lower channels and it says in HD it only plays at 480. I have called Comcast but get some Joe that has no idea what to tell me. Does anyone have a clue?

Does anyone have a clue? What do you mean by lower channels? Are these network channels by any chance? Most cablecos have an HD tier where all of the HD offerings are grouped together. The SD versions of these channels will indicate "Available in HD", or something to that effect, at the beginning of their HD programs. However, that only means that the program is available in HD on the HD channel. Also, the channel guide listing may indicate "HD" even though its a listing for an SD channel. Ignore that.

Why would they do that? Thats faulse advertising.

For example the SPEED Channel has some HD shows and does not play in HD, and there is not an upper (HD tier) high channel for SPEED. I do not see how this makes sence.
