I have a "spare" laptop computer, and was wondering if it is possible to utilize this for additional storage for my hr20? It has a 160GB Hard Drive--If this is possible, next question is how to format this to dump the recordings to the hard drive?
Any additional storage you hook up becomes THE storage in place of the internal hard drive. That means you'd end up with less recording space. Also, since only ESATA drives will work with the DVR, hooking up your laptop is unlikely to be possible.
