Hello everyone. I've been debating on different TV's for almost 6 months. And I'm tired of looking around and reading reviews. I went from LCD to DLP back to LCD back to DLP and now Plasma. I went to my local Circuit City and saw this TV on display and I was shocked at how well it looked. They had this next to LCD panel and this TV looked so much better. I have concerns about plasma though. I do alot of gaming. I'm worried about the HUD burning in. I'm also worried about the black bars from movie watching. I've read that image retention really isnt a big deal as with older generation Plasmas. Is that true? Would gaming up to maybe 3 to 4 hours a day cause image retention?

I game on my year-old Panasonic plasma like crazy. I have a five year old son who loves to play videogames. I have had no permanent damage to my plasma. This is long sessions of Gears of War, Oblivion, Halo 3, Bioshock, Final Fantasy XII, and a ton of other stuff.

Not saying burn-in is not possible but IMO it's blown way out of proportion. Plasmas are THE way to go for a gaming TV right now. I do like DLPs and SXRDs but rainbows are murderous for me on DLP, and the SXRD seemed to me to have a bit of SSE. DLPs have the well-known game lag problem, too. LCDs, no, ghosting issues, inferior real-world black levels, etc.
