Good luck getting $3000 with the issues this unit apparently has. Anyone that knows what's going on with the 5000 will send the guys with straight jackets for you. :D

Sounds like a PS3 scalper in Illinois, last year he borrowed to buy about 50 units at WalMart and decided to hold back until Christmas. Later when prices plummeted he returned units but the interest on the sharked loans had accumulated to where his creditors saw it necessary to break both his arms :(

hahah you guys are funny you guys really think i would pay 3000 for the unit i wouldnt even pay $799 with a 10% discount for this machine. i am going to wait until they get all the audio bugs fixed and the new novelty wears off. im sure in a few months we will be able to get this unit for around five six hundred bucks

I have an extra bd-up5000 coming in today (it wasnt supposed to, im refusing the shipment when it gets here) but I looked on ebay before the shipment was getting here and it doesnt seem like people are actively buying them at a premium. One sold from the looks of it.
