Hsu STF-1, Outlaw LFM-2 and the always popular but never in stock AV123 X-sub. Velodyne and a few others make small subs that rock but they are well over $300. greenhouseman 12-16-07, 06:02 PM depending on your budget, any B stock sub from svs, outlaw or hsu will more than fit your needs and save you some serious cash----have a ysp-1100 and use a svs b-stock pb12/+ and its very nice---- check em out:) gbmannc 12-16-07, 06:57 PM depending on your budget, any B stock sub from svs, outlaw or hsu will more than fit your needs and save you some serious cash----have a ysp-1100 and use a svs b-stock pb12/+ and its very nice---- check em out:) I have a ysp 800 that ive been pretty pleased with. My sub should be coming in tomorrow and I was wondering if there are separate rules for setting up a sub with these sound bars? Like setting crossover to 100 instead of the normal 80 because the sound bar can't reproduce bass as well as a normal speaker? SVS has a B-stock page where they list "used" subs. Most of them are subs people purchased but then returned to get bigger/better subs. They also list subs that have small cosmetic defects, but they will detail any defect and provide pictures to show it. Anything on B-stock is usually discounted a certain amount, and I think it still carries the SVS warranty. I keep it bookmarked and check it all the time... :D https://svsound.com/store/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=12 Osamede 12-17-07, 12:10 PM Anyone recommend the Aperion s-10? - 30 day trial seems like a nice way to decide. . . Looks interestign but hard to find reviews though... mkammers 03-12-08, 03:24 PM I just bought a new Yamaha YSP4000 and Yamaha sub and it's great! The website had a 10% off promo on receivers but i tried it on this Yamaha speaker and it worked! Promo code is AUD10 and i got 10% off my Yamaha receiver. This is the best price i found. Website is called newegg.com and i got the receiver in 2 days brand new. clueless222 10-19-08, 05:56 PM What do you think about polk pro 400, definitive tech super cube II or velodyne dls r or klipsch- all were suggested but all diff prices. Would they be overkill for a yamaha4000? |
