Hi there,

I am hoping i am posting this in the correct place, if not I am sorry. I can't seem to find the information I need on DBSTALK.com and hoping that you guys will have the expertise to help. Here is my question. I have a bunch of shows downloaded on my Bell Expressvu 9200 HD PVR. I am wanting to download them from the PVR to my DVD Recorder so that I can burn them to disk. The outputs that I have on my Satellite are:
1 Component (HD TV)
1 HDMI (HD TV)
1 Composite (for TV2)
1 Coaxial (for TV2)

The DVD recoder that I have is the Toshiba RX35 I believe (160GB) Anyways it has S-Video In and Coaxial in. Is it possible to have split the S-video so it can still be watched on another tv and record at the same time, or if I run a coaxail splitter would that work?

Thanks for the help!!

Justin

You could convert the composite to S-Video for recording and monitor it with the coax connection. This adapter works fairly well. http://www.mcminone.com/product.asp?product_id=33-0001&catalog_name=MCMProducts
To distribute composite or S-Video requires an electronic device, coax only require a splitter but signal strength will drop slightly and coax (RF channel) will give the poorest quality of any connection method.
