I want to run my satellite and OTA inputs thru a surge protector but I am one input/output short.

Have 2 lines from the dish (HD DVR) and my OTA antenna feed but only 2 can go thru the surge protector.

I am thinking putting one of the sat lines and the OTA thru the surge but that means the one I don't is unprotected correct???

Any suggestions that might help me.

Thank You

Yes, you would need to run all the lines through the surge protector if you want them to be protected. Is your antenna on your roof or is it near your TV? If it's near your TV, you don't have to to run it through the surge protector.

I have the same issue and ended up buying two surge protectors.

OTA is on the roof unfortunately. My thinking was if I ran only one of the two Directv lines and the OTA thru the surge this might be the best compromise and all are grounded properly outside. Am I all wet??? I'm a Mechanical Engineer by trade not Electrical unfortunately.
