Hi - I'm a newbie to this site and I have a delima. I have a Mitsubishi LT 3020 LCD TV. At one time it was the main TV for my home theater system. I have since upgraded and now the Mits 3020 is my bedroom set. I'm looking for a solid set up box ASTC tuner for this tv in my bedroom. I just want to pull in all the OTA channels I can get, with a well lit back light remote and something easily compatible with my universal remote. Is this asking to much? Anyway, I'm leaning toward the Mits HD 6000 receiver only because its compatible with the Mits 3020 and will give me everything I'm looking for plus more. However, I've looked on the internet and I'm finding that the Mits HD 6000 is extremely hard to find and if you find one, its selling from $600 to $750. I'm reluctant to pay $600 to $750 for a tuner that will get limited use. From the only comments that I could find on AVS Forum (thank God), I've read that overall the Mits Hd 6000 is an excellent piece of equipment. However one con I read is that its has a fan that runs constantly even when the machine is turned off. With this in the bedroom humming constantly, my wife will have a fit. The bottom line is, for my needs is the Mits HD 6000 worth the money or is their a set up tuner out there that will give me what I need for less? Thank to anyone who responds for their time and consideration. Happy Holidays!
