I just set up my polk RM6750 set and need a little help with the sub settings considering I have no idea what I am doing. I want to try this sub out a little before buying a new one.

Here are a few questions

What should the volume of the sub be on and do I need to change it as I change the volume on the reciever?

Whats the Low pass knob do and what is the best number to keep it on?

Then I have a switch that says phase 0 or -100 degrees what should that be set to and whats the differnce?

And lastly should I have the bass on my sub set to +2 or 3 DB or is best to keep that at 0?

Ok I put the freq on the sub all the way up and turned the conversion hz on the reciever to 80 (Someone reccomending I do that)

Is there anythng else I should do?

Those Polk speakers should be set at 100 or 120hz. Polk audio recommended to me once 120hz. Those are just small sat that's there range. Keep the phase at 0. You can switch it and check with a SPL meter and see if it gets louder but I doubt you will have and canceling bass issues. What sub??
