i just purchased the LG STB on ebay. with the FIOS cable attached to the Antenna In I am getting a "No Signal" message. With the TV attached to the Antenna Loop connection I get the OTA channels as I would without the STB. I am using an SVideo cable to connect the STB to the TV. When I set the TV to Svideo, the STB menu options display but i do not get any of the OTA channels.
Is the STB DOA or have I missed something in the setup?
You need to do select cable / QAM as the input and do a channel scan. That will get you the locals on FiOS.
You will not get any non-local channels on FiOS without the Verizon STB (or a CableCard box like the TivoHD) because they are encrypted.
I am using an SVideo cable to connect the STB to the TV. When I set the TV to Svideo, the STB menu options display but i do not get any of the OTA channels. You might need to set the output to 480i.

i have tried both the DTV and CADTV settings in the EZ Scan menu option - the STB is still displaying "No Signal" Could there be a problem with the tuner?

I tried the 480i setting. Still receive the "No Signal" message. I assume message indicates that the STB is not recognizing any signal from FIOS.
The LST-3510A doesn't have an analog tuner so you won't see anything until you run a cable (not OTA) channel scan and select the appropriate channel.
You can't just hit 5 on the remote and expect to see something. On FiOS, the local HD channels are found on QAMs 71-74 and the local SD channels and music channels are found on QAMs 63-68.
Those are the only channels you'll get with FiOS on the 3510A.

thanks for your help and patience. i was fixated on the "No Signal" message. Switching the EZ Scan option to CATV and scanning with STD setting found the stations. Once agein, thanx
