Hi all,
does anyone know if the direct purchase SA 8300HD DVRs from some place like Best Buy come with the Firewire working (correctly that is??). I tried renting one from Cox and although it connected to my 5u Dvhs it did not work correctly.

My thought is that I could purchase my own from BB and see if it the fire wire works ok, rather then the renal route from Cox. Does anyone have any experience doing this? I guess I could always buy it, test out, then return if it does not work.

My good deed for the day. Cable boxes such as the SA 8300 HD are only available for rent from cable companies. You can't buy one in the US unless it's stolen.
