Ok my wife says I get a new subwoofer for Christmas. My top end is the SVS PB13 Ultra. My room is 22X23 feet with 10 ft ceilings. The back of the room opens to a kitchen and entry way. My home theater is set up using the right 2/3 of the room due to a doorway. On the right is a half way with a hallway on the other side. Currently, my two subs are stacked in the corner by the half wall. I have looked at the castle, svs and was waiting for the mf15, but now it's time to decide. So what does everyone think, especially Craig. Thanks
If you or your wife want something that looks nice and performs, then go with the SVS. They seem to be catching up so lead times aren't so long. You also get the PEQ and room comp controls. The Epik seems to be a good choice if looks don't matter.
You will be better off going to the local BB because no respectable freight company will deliver to Lodi.:)

I wouldn't worry so much as to which brand, but as to what is the wife planning...

That doesn't sound very pessimistic at all! :P
Some of us do have wives that love home theater (if not the technical aspects) and enjoy seeing their men happy.
I know mine can't wait till I can put up a projector in the basement of our new house (buying in 6ish months), buy the gigantic SVS subwoofer and buy the speakers to flesh out a full 5.1 system (currently running floorstanding 2.0 Paradigm 60's).
I say you've found yourself a winner and you really can't go wrong :) Unless something really is up... cause you never know ;)

I personally bought a7s-450..I think it should be a hell of a sub for $785
decide between ED/Epik/svs pb13u..forget about the rest
Did you already receive the a7s-450 or is it on order? Would love to hear a review.

I said "should be", if I already had it I would say "it is"
I have to wait till january to get it and even then my HT won't be fully setup until spring

What are your current subs, you're mentioning? Are you gonna run them in concert with the new one, whichever you'll purchase?

My current subs are 20 year old Vandersteen 2w's.
