I am new to home theater setups and need a little help. I am setting up a HK AVR247 with Totem speakers. The fronts, rears and center are no problem. The sub is a dreamcatcher Totem that has a left and right input but the sub only have one output. What cable do I use to make this work?

I am sorry if this is not posted in the right spot, I am very new to this forum.

You should be able to run that from sub out into either the L or R input on the sub

Since bass is recorded in mono, the white, or left RCA jack is normally used, but using both ports with a sum adapter (a Y-adapter) increases output.

Just to be clear for newer members, using a "Y" adapter generally increases apparent gain of many powered subs, but it doesn't increase the sub's maximum output potential.
