I feel like a total idiot. Why can I not figure out how to mount my Sanus ceiling mount to my hc1000? I can find any mounting holes in the front of the pj. What am I doing wrong...
Please help. Thanks in advance
Andy
Mounting holes are located on the bottom of the PJ. They're fairly small, and contain threaded inserts (sort of gold-colored). I think the projector's manual might have a picture showing where they're located (been a while since I hung mine).

I have found 3 4mm threaded holes. but they aren't in the best spot. 2 are in the back and on opposite sides. makes sence. but the third hole is right in fron of one of the other holes giving no support to the front of the pj. Again, all 3 holes are in the back of the pj giving no support to the front and lens. Does this make any sence?
I see what you're saying. I don't recall for sure, I'll have to take a look at my PJ when I get home (unless someone else chimes in here before then).

Thanks for the help. Any info would be great. I was looking at it last night with a big question mark over my head.

If you go to this page and click on accessories.
http://www.mitsubishi-presentations.com/products/projectors/HC1500.html
and then click on the little image next to ceiling mount you will get a image of the mount points.

The pj in the picture is not the hc1500. it makes sence that the mounting holes would be in a position like that but behold, they are not.

I took this from the manual for the HC1500, I believe these were the holes I used to mount mine.

The hole in the front, or in the case of your drawing, the bottom, is just a plastic hole with no insert and not threaded. I think it might be able to be used, but to use a small threaded screw on a self tapping plastic home to hold this thing up is not my first choice. but it might be my only:(

maybe, I'm an idiot(yep) Maybe i've been duped, or maybe a little of both. The lens cap was pushed into the threaded insert instead of the hole. Needless to say, I think I've got it worked out. Sheesh! Thanks to all who helped.

I came home and sure enuff I noticed it was to the right of the hole that holds the lens cap..
I'm glad you found it.. good luck with your new projector.
