Does anyone use Time Warner 8300HD with Logitech Harmony?
I am planning to buy Logitech Harmony 550 Remote Control which costs about $100. I am a hard core Time Warner DVR user, and the most used button is the green list and up down buttons, in addition to triangle/circle/square buttons (A/B/C).

My concern is being able to continue using Harmony 550 instead of my Time Warner Cable remote. I would prefer all in one remote which can control my TV/DVD/Home Theatre/VHS at the same time, and also control TV's own functions as well (being able to adjust ratio, etc.)

So, does anyone use Harmony with Time Warner 8300 HD ?

Thanks!!

I use one of the logitech Harmony (peanut shape aka Tivo-like) remotes and have been generally successful, but haven't been able to work out PIP yet. Most of the rest of the commands (A,B,C, program list/guide) all work fairly easily.

Thanks. After reading about the problems users have been facing, and with complaints over at Logitech's own forums, I decided not to purchase a remote just yet.

Stick with the Harmony. It will cover all functions of the TW remote, including PIP.
It is a pain to set up but, be patient, and work with Harmony Tech support. If you have limited success with Level 1 people in Nashville, ask for Level 2 people in Toronto.
I originally HATED Harmony but once you get it right, it's the best.
