I have a purchased 6208 with an internal problem and can't seem to get any help, anywhere! This was origonally an American box, (not sure of the company that supplied it), but was legitimatly purchased and brought to Canada. It will display the "power off" menus but will not communicate with my provider, therefore there's no "power on" image, menus or otherwise. I've done a cold boot and downloaded the new firmware without any trouble but when my provider (Eastlink - Comcast signal) tries to innitialize the box, they can't "see" it. It's been added to my account, the gui # is OK, the proper messages appear on the front during the firmware upgrade and it does let me know that the download is complete 20+/- min later but that's as far as we get.

Does anyone have a schematic for this box or know what the problem might be? Both my provider and Motorola have absolutley help as all they want to have me rent a new box. Nobody, apparently, works on these boxes?!!!

Anyone?

TIA!

Hey there -

New to AVS forums. Curious...I have a 6208 box as well, I try and power it up and I can 'hear' the hard drive spin up. But no lights or display at all shows up on the front pannel. Curious how you got it to 'reboot' or get new firmware on the box?
