Does it exist. I am looking for just the bulb, not the whole assembly for the Infocus SP5000. We have been using up bulbs too quickly & it's breaking the bank. Any ideas, help, suggestions short of getting a new tv. We use the projector daily since our living area will not house a big screen.
Thanks

I owned this projector for a few years, I also used it as my living room, main display too.
I seem to always find lamps at around the $200 mark with prudent googling and searching of the bay.
Infocus is having a 15% off their lamps sale right now. But even with the discount, they want a mint for their lamps.

Good question missfitt. I'm in the same boat. It seems like a waste to buy the whole assembly. I only got 1300 hours from my first lamp and I'm at 850 hours on my second lamp and I have noticed it is already getting dimmer. Not very good for a 2000 hour bulb.
I've purchased my replacements from Provantage - http://www.provantage.com/infocus-sp-lamp-017~7INFB04U.htm . At $285 it is the lowest price I have come across from a reputable dealer.
I have over 2200 hrs on my original bulb and the replacement message start appear last week.:(
However I am not sure about a new lamp though, it may be better to wait for it to blow up and go get a newer, better projector.:p

Look around for a provantage ecoupon too. I know I got from around $200 from there once with a found ecoupon. :)
