I am still lost in to what direction I should go in to get a sub for my system. Right now I have on order are...
Klipsch RF-82's
Klipsch RC-62
Klipsch RS-52's
Denon 3808CI

Now I have been mentioned to look into these kind of subs...
HSU VTF3-Mk3 @ $629 = 350w/12" woofer/ported

SVS PB12-NSD @ $599 = 325w/12" woofer/ported

eD A5-350 @ $600 = 550w/15" woofer/ported

Epik Valor @ $549 = 350w/15" woofer/sealed

Epik Knight @ $599 = 350w/15" woofer/ported

What about the staandared ones that comes with the system such as.....

Definitive Technology Subwoofer SCIIIBK 650-Watts
Klipsch Subwoofer RW12D 350-Watts
Velodyne Subwoofer MINIVEEBK 1000-Watts
Velodyne Subwoofer DLSR5000BK 1000-Watts

Should I lean towards the top part then the ones that comes with the systems? Also can you buy an Epik from a retail store? or the eD?

Let me know some input, thanks.

My non-professional 2cents... eD a5-350 all the way. price goes up jan. 1st so order soon :) and you can only get the eD directly from them, no store (unless you visit the showroom in iowa.)

If looks and size don't matter then the Knight and A5 are going to be the most bang for your buck. If you want it fast then go with the Epik, if you want to save a few $$ go with the A5.

Thank you both for those imputs. btw why would prices go up? and how long would the eD 5? I've been keeping my eye out for this, how long does it take from the time I place the order. About a month?

Pricing is increasing after the first for quite a few reasons. Increase in our costs, need for more labor to even remotely try to keep up with orders, etc.

As for the wait, right now we're at about a 6 week lead time.

A5-350 vs. A5S-350.

A coupl fof guys reported problem with A5-350, is there a problem on this model? Will A5S-350 suffer the same?

A couple amps have went, but some were with the older, discontinued A5-300.
It has happened to a very few owners, not a real issue - imo.

flykid...choose any of the ones you listed first. They are all excellent performers.

There is a big difference between products having problems and products that don't live up to the owners/users expectations...
