Hi guys, I've been looking around for a place to download hi def movies. The only place I have found is xbox live. The problem I have with xbox live is that there is no buy feature for the movies.

I've looked around at walmart media, netflix, et al and I just cant seem to find a place that lets you buy HD movies.

I've stumbled across VuDu but I'd rather not pay $400. If anyone could point me in the right direction, that'd be great.

I think you've basically found all the potential avenues for downloading HD movies.

I can tell you now, without a doubt, that Vudu is the best option out there. I've had one for about 2 months now and I love my box.

They've only got 3 HD movies but I think they are just about to burst open the dams.

Update - the entry level Vudu price was lowered to $295 (250GB HD), and there are now over 100 HD titles available, with the total Vudu catalog showing over 5000 titles. So far only 3 HD titles are "purchase" licenses, but I expect that will change as the catalog continues to grow, and the studios get accustomed to the new media.
