I have a Sanyo PLV Z4 projector with around 1350 hours on the lamp so I am thinking its time for a new one. I am located in Vancouver and the only place I could find here who sells it (a shop called "Conti") is selling it for the ridiculous price of $580 + tax + shipping.

I was hoping if any fellow Canadian plv z4 owners know where to get it from for cheaper?

It's $349 US from ProjectorPeople (forum sponsor). Even if they charge you shipping, and after the taxes, duty, etc., you'd save a lot. I can't believe how much we get gouged in Canada, especially from local retailers.

Also, there's a Canadian online retailer who sells it for $407.43 CAN. I can send you that link via PM, if you'd like.

There is a place in Alberta that sells to the US and Canada, and the bulb for the Z2 is about $300 including shipping to either country. They actually sell you JUST the bulb, and you mount it on your own plastic housing that your current bulb is on. I expect the price will be similar for the Z4.

They have been around for a few years, and I have the link on my work computer waiting for my current bulb to die before ordering. I'll post it as soon as I find it

Looks like *************** has one for 255 USD. I think they charge around $17 for shipping.
They also sell on eBay and have excellent feedback.

Need advice guys. I found a local guy selling an extra bulb for $300. Is there any way of knowing if the bulb is defective or not when you first plug it in and run it? Or does it take some time to figure out.

I like his price but I am worried it wont be covered by warranty since he has no reciept for it.

G'day, I just replaced my PLV Z4 lamp today, ran 3590Hours! till it konked out... bought one a few months ago from Japan, cost AUD$305 inc shipping to OZ, installed it and works a charm.
