I'm considering the Samsung FP-T5884, but need some advice and questions from current owners. I was considring a LCD (Sony 52" XBR) but I like the larger screen the this Plasma offers. How happy are you with the Ultra Filter-Bright antiglare screen? It will be in a room with some windows but no direct sunlight. Is the power consumption something I should worry about for this set as compared to an LCD? Lastly, can this set be easily lifted onto to a TV screen by two people? Thanks!

Both sets are light so they can be moved easily. You will not notice much as far as the power consumption. My bill did not go up. (Damages to mother nature is a different topic). Does not sound like the reflection is going to be an issue.
Overall the Samsung will have a better overall picture quality with less motion blur (as LCD refresh slowwwwww). Save your cash and buy the Samsung and gain 6" of screen ;)

Agree with all the comments, the biggest short-fall to the plasma in my opinion is the glare as I am not a gamer. It is not an issue with where I have it mounted as there are no light sources (windows) directly behind my TV, but we did put up a X-mas tree behind it about 20ft away 1 week ago and the lights from the tree is an issue. So if you have any windows behind where you are mounting it, I would be concerned. BTW, picture quality is excellent and I would repurchase the T5884 in a heartbeat.

Does the T5884 have less glare as compared to other Plasmas?
