I've got a graphic card with 2 x dvi (radeon xt2600)
I think that hdmi 1.3 is a big error.
It's stupid to get a finer gradation of colors.
It would be much better to use 6 instead of 3 colors (rgb).
We should construct screens with 6 colors (also the 3 complementary colors).
So we could create the picture twice with 2 INDEPENT color sets. Once with the three base colors and once with the three complementary colors.
The result would be the SAME amount of color information like HDMI 1.3 but a MUCH better SATURATION of the complementary colors.
(BTW: I think that on this way you could create 3-D effects. The picture with the three complementary colors could have a different angle of the observer.)
