Hi - This is my first post - so before I get into asking my questions - Does this forum deal with my area of interest?...
Which is: I'm REPLACING my Hi-Fi with a system built around say a Sony NAC HD1E (which basically plays CD's, has a 250Gb HDD & has a digital out for connection to say a digital amplifier).

Lossless recording of CD's to hard disk
Alternative ways of storing my music (I'm against using a home computer in the system & want an off-the-shelf solution)
Opinions about the best combination of player/recorder, amp, speakers etc
