Looking at getting the 58" panasonic th-58pz700 from a online store so I can save on the sales tax and shipping is cheap but am not sure who to trust and if you will get the same protection you would get from a box store. They are a authorized dealer. What to look out for. Thanks

ThanksIf you use one of the forum sponsors (from one of the banners at the top of this forum) I'm sure you will be taken care of...and probably better than you would be with a big name B&M store. If you decide to go with someone other than a forum sponsor, just read the fine print on their return policy and see if its acceptable to you. I've purchased 2 plasmas online and it was a positive experience both times. (and yes...saving quite a bit of money makes the delivery wait easier to take.;) )

If I buy a TV, I would buy it from the sponsor.

+1 on a sponsor, you can do a search within avs for each sponsor to see what everyone has to say. I got my 42" 9uk a year ago from visual apex. No problems and delivery was awesome.
The only major drawback is the wait :).

The one big problem with buying from an online dealer is that they may not have a good return policy, and even if they do allow you to return a defective or broken TV you usually have to pay a very high freight bill to return it to them so check this aspect out very carefully, and get their policy in writing. Truck freight for an individual that does not have an account with the trucking company can be very expensive to ship a plasma TV!
