Hey guys,

I just ordered the refurb Onkyo HT-SR800 (im stoked), and on the bottom it clearly states that the refurb systems do not come with cables and wires. Now, im not very good with HT systems (this is actually my first system:p) and i was wondering what cables should i pick up for it?

I'll be checking out monoprice.com in a bit since i need to order a couple of HDMI and Optical cables anyways, so i was thinking why not just go ahead and get the cables for the HT too.

So, if you have this system, could you please kindly tell me what all i need to hook it up and whats a decent cable set up? Thanks!

I guess i'll go with a 14G cable for the speakers. Cant find an answer anyways:p

One more question though, i have 3 units that i need to hook up to the AVR, a satellite box, a 360, and a PS3, and i want to run all of them through Optical (unless i wont lose anything running analog RCA inputs) but the AVR only has 2 Optical inputs. Now if i get this adapter (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10423&cs_id=1042301&p_id=966&seq=1&format=2), is there any threat of quality lose? I'll make sure to run the 360 and the PS3 with the adapter since i'll only use one console at a time, so its a guarantee thing that i'll have one signal coming through.

The best place to have posted this would be in the HTIB section, there is much discussion regarding your HTIB, including cables and setup advice. :)
