Hey all,
Does anyone know if Fry's extended warranties include a replacement bulb? My Akai bulb has gone out and I've got the extended warranty. When I purchased the TV I was told that the warranty included 1 bulb replacement, but when I called to have them come replace it they said that bulbs weren't covered.
The warranty document that I have is very generic and makes no mention of TV's specifically.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I was in the process of buying a TV ( Sony 55a3000 ) from Fry's last week and their
extended warranty specifically said no bulb replacements. It was right up front. This is
recent, so I am not sure what their policy was a year or two ago ... ?
I ended up going to a different store that had a cheaper warranty which also included
2 bulb replacements. Go figure? Plus I ended up getting the Mits 57833.

thanks chuckjoy.
There's definitely nothing that specifically states no bulbs, but there's nothing that says they cover it either. Guess I'll just have to roll the dice and see. I can't believe how expensive these Akai bulbs are! The TV was $800, but the bulb replacement is $350 (per Fry's)
When I looked at Fry's warranty, I'm pretty sure is stated that you could get one bulb replacement. That was the reson that I bought it. Since I returned the TV a week later, I didn't keep up with the warranty info. However, what I read was not in a pamplet, it was in the warranty info that I received after purchasing the warranty. I read that stuff pretty closely.

I bought a 65" rear proj toshiba TV today, and bought the extened FRYS warranty. However, the sales sheet stated "does not include bulb replacement." I made him remove the $200.00 warranty, and was thinking about buying extened warranty from TOSHIBA - is this possible?
Is frys exteneded warranty any good?
I used my VISA card, whish adds another year to the TV's warranty. So I have 2 years' warranty already, but I do not know if the TOSHIBA warranty requires I send in my 65" for service.
I saw that TV in the Fry's ad today. Great deal for under $1000. How does it look so far if you've gotten it set up yet?
