there's a bunch of concerts only released on HD DVD instead of on both formats. i don't know why, something related to marketing reasons tho i don't know why they think blu-ray folks arent just as interested in those concert titles.

Roy Orbison - Black & White is another title i'd be interested in but is only releasing on HD DVD. havent seen any reviews of the Image concert releases so can't really comment on quality.

This is a good question. I had to get it on HD DVD and just watched most of it tonight and it looks and sounds very good. For some reason it is not coming out on Blu-ray. Maybe it is HD DVD exclusive, but I don't know for sure.

The Moody Blues: Lovely to See You - Live at the Greek...comes out on 7/8/08.

Anyone have any thoughts on this one? I suppose it is the same as the HD-DVD version. HD digest gives it a good review, with a very high mark for HD video quality.

The HD DVD version I have list the audio choices as Dolby True HD 5.1 and DD Plus 5.1 and 2.0.
20 songs plus interview.

I think they're pretty much par except the BD will get the nod by having a PCM 2.0 track vs a lossy 2.0 track on the HD DVD. The 5.1 mixes on both are lossless (DTS HD-MA vs DolbyTrueHD).

Didn't want to start a new thread. Does anyone know if the Moody Blues - Live in Royal Albert Hall was filmed in HD? I saw the SD broadcast on PBS tonight, and it was a good concert.
