Are there any Marantz VP-12S2 owners out there? I just picked one up and I am trying to connect it to my source (a HDTivo) using HDMI out of the HDTivo to the projector but I am not getting a signal. I am using a cable with HDMI connections on both ends plugged into a HDMI to DVI converter on the projector end.
I have verified that the HDMI cable works and that the HDTvio works. I have not verified that the HDMI to DVI converter works nor that the DVI input on the projector is working.
Is there a special setting on the projector that I need to set to accept DVI input? I have selected Video on the remote, but that shows "No Input" on the screen when it is selected.
Am I missing a setting?

not knowing anything about the pj, the first thing i would probably do is get an hdmi to dvi adapter cable thereby eliminating one connection point which can sometimes be problematic. order one, along w a component video cable, from monoprice.com and while waiting get one tomorrow from a b&m making sure its returnable after u get delivery of online one (cheaper).
hopefully others can help w pj knowledge.

Westgate,
Thanks for the help. I agree a HDMI to DVI cable might help, but I don't want to waste the money if I don't have to do it. My next step is to borrow a HDMI to DVI cable from a friend just to see if it will work.
My main concern is that there is a setting on the projector that I have not found yet that will enable the DVI input. I have read the manual but that was not much help.
Are there any VP-12S2 owners out there that can provide some assistance?
Are all the VP-12S2 owners out there busy watching movies?

There is a menu option for signal type for each "Input". Make sure it's set to Auto. That will eliminate that as a potential issue. The only other thing besides a cable issue is did you try changing the TiVo output resolution? Try setting it to 480p, then 720p, then 1080i. That's another option.

I have a VP-12S2 set up to receive a signal from my Dish Network ViP622 DVR over HDMI using a DVI converter at the projector and have not had any problems with it at all. It is also hooked up to component cables from my receiver for DVD. The only thing I have to do is switch inputs when I want to watch one or the other. For the component input you press the COMPONENT button on your remote. For the DVI input you press the AUX button on your remote.
I hope this helps,
Good Luck
