My Harry Potter:Order of the Phoenix HD DVD disc case struck me as weird somehow, and it took me a bit to figure out why. The HD DVD logo at the top of the case is not visible! Actually, if you hold the case up to the light you can see the logo, but it was not painted so as to be visible when looking normally at the case. Anyone else notice this, or do I have a 'unique' speciman?

My Pan's Labyrinth is the same way.

My Harry Potter (Order Of The Phoenix) and every other copy I have seen in various stores uses this new box, too. It appears that Warner's new boxes have the "HD DVD" logo etched into the inside of the case instead of the one silk screened onto the front of the box.

My Harry Potter OotP has the HD-DVD log pretty clear on the top.

Pan's Labyrinth on the other hand has the nearly invisible logo. Very weird indeed.

I have also noticed this with all the copies of The Omega Man at my local BB. Thankfully I have a few spare HD DVD cases.

UK version?Nope, the US version. It was purchased yesterday at Best Buy as part of their current B2G1 promotion. They had about 10 or so in stock and they were all this way.

And I've just noticed that my HP Goblet of Fire is the same way, it too is the US version, ordered from Amazon. My HP Order of the Phoenix has a very nice shiny silver logo, but it is the 2 disc UK version. The rest of my HP discs (all US versions from Amazon) have the standard painted on logo.

It must be a cost savings thing.

Oh O! Warner is ahamed of their HD DVD's! :D
Anyway, I dont' really like the new box. It might confuse some J6P. Also, some SD movies have that RED line going accross which confuses the hell outta me. Like Casino Royale, a whole bunch of them were left w/ the HD DVD's in BB and I got excided then saw "Special 2 Disk Edition" :rolleyes:
