Since 2.10 I'm getting DLNA error 2006 trying to access files on my PC via WMP 11 probably get the error 95% of the time.

Then I tried TVersity and for some reason it works much better, with problems only 5% of the time.

Anyone know what DLNA Error 2006 is or anyone else get the same?

I get a DLNA error all the time, not the same error code as you though. There are a lot of folks using wireless that are having problems. Yippee!!!

I never got TVersity to work with my PS3. After the latest system update I tried using WMP to play my .avi files and kept getting DLNA errors. MP3s play fine. I use wireless also.

At this point I am ready to just get an external HDD and forget streaming videos.

External drive might be the best, but do try TVersity again for some reason it works much better for me.
Just had to allow the media sever.exe in windows firewall then it worked fine.

the TVersity wont work for me at all. wont even find the server. anything i do wrong. i have this other program it find, but then i get wierd error.
and tons of files dosent work *not a valid file* so what do that mean hehe.

i got it short time after it got released but not used it much due to work. so not that familar whit the stuff hehe

You have to allow Tversity through your firewall on your PC. Once you have done that, you will probably have to reboot your PS3 to get it to see the Tversity shares.

i got it to work dunno why becoures i had allowed. the program. but maybe just forgot to change the settings hehe :) my mp3's works but movies and pics it wont. it just say. that. there no files in the directory :(

I just got TVersity to work with my PS3 and it works better than WMP11. It took me a few weeks, but I eventually realized I made a bonehead move and allowed the TVersity application and not the media server through the firewall.

Once I fixed that, TVersity started to work.

I dont know if its MS's issue as before the last PS3 update WMP server worked just fine, now its random DLNA errors or the PS3 cant find the server?

I think Im just going to get an external drive for the PS3, I want to be able to access files as needed, not hope DLNA is going to work.

TVersity works fine. no problem, at all. when its running hehe. i was needed to reinstall TVersity to get it to work 100% but i dont think its the program but my computer there screw up. cheap ass expensive computer hehe.
