Can anyone reccomend a good carpet company to contact for Nassau, Long Island to get my theater room carpeted? I was going to call Empire carpet but I have just read tons of bad feedback about their bait and switch and high prices.

Thanks!

Rob,

Try:

Country Carpet - 207 Robbins Lane, Syosset or
Carpet Mart - 1522 Old Country Road, Plainview

I bought carpet for my theater at Country Carpet but both have large selections to choose from.

Good luck.

Stu

Thanks Stu.

I have a triple play of Fathers Sons & daugters, Country Carpet and carpet mart lined up to visit tomorrow. I am in Hicksville and its not much of a ride.

I will let everyone know how I make out.

I have a huy also i am in Woodmere, they came from the home depot company and installed quickly and cleanly and did wonderfull work, if you want a quote from them ill get you there number - it pays to check numerous quotes my savings on a nice berber carpet were close to 800$ from a store called kas carpets to home depot, home depot was cheaper. shoot me an email or pm me so i can get you that info if needed.

Thought I'd chime in after doing the rounds. I went with Fathers, Sons & Daughters. Very friendly and reasonably priced. I suggested I wanted to get the ball rolling and the guy said "ill leave to measure you house in 20 mins, hows that?". We actually had to try and beat him home. So i just got home and he'll be here any minute to measure already. This is also the same guy that sold me the carpet. I'll let you guys know how the installation goes.

My wife and I unfortunately used carpet mart plainview to install 5 carpets in our house. There were problems from the start- wrong padding, late delivery bad installation. When confronted about these problems the answers were- "we're not an installation company" "we're not the delivery company" and after making a huge dusty mess in the house the reply was " we're not a cleaning company"
Its been a few years since using them and we are slowly replacing everything they did. We had Home depot take care of a basement carpet and it went really well with no troubles.

Just a warning to anyone who needs carpet
