I'm purple, but my Christmas Eve is Blu, with Die Hard. I watch it every Christmas Eve, and now it's the first time I can watch the world's best action movie in High Definition.

OK, I'm baffled -- what has "Go Blu!" got to do with Christmas? Well, my perspective is TO HELL with BLU as well as HD DVD, and then Merry Christmas to all (format war in the toilet as it belongs.) If Christmas isn't the right celebration, by all means substitute the celebration of your choice/belief, as long as it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH HD FORMATS!

When even the SLIGHTEST hint of a bias toward the format that THIS FORUM IS ALL ABOUT is expressed all of the HD-DVD supporters have to chime in. The only real surprise here is that no one has jumped on him for mentioning Christmas.

I think that the point is that Christmas is not Blu vs Red, but a time to celebrate with family. Much the same if I said "Merry Christmas, go Cowboys." What does one have to do with the other....nothing.

Anyway, Merry Christmas to all. Happy Holidays is a year round thing as their is a government holiday every month of the year, so I refuse to say that phrase any time of the year.

Exactly, my friend. Most of us here (including myself) have spent the lion's share of our posting time defending our format of choice (prior to AVS puting us in our places). I want to also wish all of my fellow AV buffs out there a very Merry Christmas!
