Finally got my PS3 today (two days late from the original delivery date, thanks FedEx).

I'm excited to finally be format neutral.

I have to BD disks in the house, Harry Potter: OOP and Spidey 3.

Which should I start with first?

That's kind of tough as I have not seen either of them.

That's why I am asking.

Storywise, PQ, AQ, which is the best.

Personal opinion.. Harry Potter. The Spiderman movie, while visually excellent did not have a stellar storyline.

Indeed. I was surprised by how little I enjoyed it--and, I enjoy some really bad movies.
OTOH, I found Harry Potter Episode 5:Voldemort Strikes Back to be one of the better Potter movies.

If you did not read the book, you'll probably find Harry Potter to be excellent, as long as you've got the storyline of the previous 4 movies/books. However, I did read them all, and found #5 lacking (missing some details from the book). That said, I still enjoyed OotP and Spider-Man 3 are both knockouts for PQ/AQ. I personally would've liked Spider-Man 3 better if they just deleted the remainder of the movie after the first hour...

Hay, hey, holla! It's an easy double feature. I recommend milk and cookies inbetween. I'd just play "spin the cases" to get the order. Thus, you'll avoid the anxiety of the choosing. ;)

I went purple this weekend as well. I bought 3 movies Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Underworld Evolution in one of last week's BOGOs, and Casino Royale. The first one was Casino Royale. Off to watch high def movies of both colors tonight, I have the Kingdom and Stardust and Bourne Ultimatum to watch along with the rest of Start Trek Season 1.

Being purple means going broke twice as fast. :)

I just went purple, too. I ordered The Fifth Element (Remastered) -- one of my favorite movies.

Any other eye-popping BD-exclusive movies I should look at? I'm considering Terminator, T2, and Underworld.

I also joined the purple club over the weekend with a used 60GB PS3 from eBay for a little over 500 beans. Doesn't come with any Blu-ray movies (games only) but reading about all the BOGO sales has made me hesitant to buy any BD movies for retail prices. I'm better off sitting around using the PS3 for games and then buying them Blu-ray movies cheap when Sony needs to counter-attack a big HD-DVD exclusive. ;)

play paper or scissor with your wife (paper for OOP and scissor for spidey) solve.

I've read the books multiple times, too. The book is 870 pages--of course it's missing some details of the book, and thank goodness for that! :D

I think Spiderman would have been better if they removed two of the opponent characters, and killed MaryJane off....
