I've been having a problem while playing the PSN download game Pain.

First let me describe my signal chain.

My PS3 is connected to a Monoprice 5->1 HDMI Switch.

The output of the HDMI switch goes to the HDMI 2 input of my Onkyo 605 receiver. The HDMI output of the Onkyo is then sent to my Sammy 6188 DLP.

This setup works fine for me with everything else. Blu-Ray from the PS3, hours of gaming (Rock Band, Uncharted, etc.)

Pain is the only thing that causes a problem.

Essentially what happens is in the middle of the action after I fire the character from the slingshot, my Onkyo receiver will click off and start flashing the Standby signal. Sometimes if I power the receiver back on it's OK.

I thought I might be overloading the receiver, but this happens even at low volumes. The receiver isn't even warm when this happens.

Anyone else have a problem like this?

Personally, I think PAIN is just poorly coded and it is a lot more demanding on all components.

I have had a PS3 since launch and never had once single problem with it till I downloaded PAIN. About 5-10 min after playing PAIN my system shuts off and gives me a red blinking light (overheats). I can shut the system down and bring it right back up where it plays anything (except PAIN) just fine.

Load PAIN again and my PS3 tanks.

I have been searching for awhile now and cant find anyone else with my problem but it would still seem to me something is wrong with PAIN.
