Now that UT3 is out (and I got it for Christmas :)) I need to get a mouse and keyboard for my PS3. I've read a lot of discussion on here about good m/kb pairs but didn't see anything on what worked well for gaming. I don't want to get the Logitech keyboard that's really popular because it has a touchpad mouse, and that's no good for a FPS obviously. So what would be a good mouse and keyboard to get for the PS3 to play UT3 (and other games) with?

I just want to make sure ... I'm getting that Logitech KB ... can I plug in a mouse and use that instead of the touchpad for UTIII? Don't mean to hijack your thread. thx.

If you want to save some $ I just use a cheap USB keyboard and my good old MS optical wheel mouse and a 10 foot USB extension cord. I just bring it all out and plug it in when plying UT3. Feels just like the old Counter-Strike days. I am sooo much better this way then using a game pad.

Speaking of FPS, does anyone know if COD 4 allows kbd/mouse controls? I'd get the PS3 version if it does, else I'll just get the PC version instead.

I just got the logitech and am wondering what I should do. Is UT3 the only game that can use a keyboard and mouse on the PS3? If so, I might as well take it back as I have UT3 for the computer. I stick to FPS and co-op games with my son.

Yes you can use a different mouse, I use a Logitech VX.
That keyboard is not worth the mony IMO, feels very cheaply built. Not what I'm used to from Logitech. I've since switched to using a dinovo edge with the vx.
